I have grown up around food and hospitality my entire life. It has run in my family for generations. Feeding people is what I know and love.

I am from central Kentucky where the horses run fast and the bourbon is poured neat. My family has owned a catering company and I knew how to set a proper table setting practically out of the womb. From helping feed 100 people and my love of entertaining and cooking, I started a food blog, Fueling a Southern Soul, in 2017. I am also the monthly food columnist at Kentucky Living Magazine where I photograph 2 recipes a month (1 original and 1 reader recipe) along with a video for each recipe.  With Kentucky Living, In 2021 I won an Award of Excellence through the Statewide Editors Association (40+ magazines) Communications Award contest; and in 2024 I won an award in the scenic/pictorial photo category of the Cooperative Communicators Association Communications Awards.

Since then it has been my joy to capture not just the beauty of food (I mean we eat with our eyes first right?) but also the story behind it. Food connects us all. No matter where we are from, what language we speak, and what stage of life we are in - food can bring us all together. I love capturing the stories and essence behind a recipe and sharing that with the world!
